Current Fees and Charges

The fees and charges relating to plan changes.  Resource consents and monitoring are set out in Council’s Planning Fees and Charges (41kb pdf).  The charges relate to all applications, authorisations, certifications or other matters arising out of the Resource Management Act 1991 ("the RMA").  These charges have been set in accordance with section 36 of the RMA.

Please note that all lodgement fees are deposits unless otherwise stated.  All deposits are non-refundable.

An assessment of total fees will be made based on actual cost.  If the work carried out by Council exceeds the lodgement fee, the difference will need to be paid.  Additional charges will be invoiced to the applicant in accordance with section 36(3) of the RMA.

Discount on Administrative Charges

The Resource Management Regulations Discount applies to all resource consent applications and applications to change or cancel conditions which are not processed by Council within timeframes set in the RMA.

The discount only applies to administrative charges associated with processing the consent (i.e. it does not include monitoring fees and charges or subdivision certifications).  The regulations set out a discount of one per cent for each day an application is processed over the statutory timeframes, up to a limit of 50 working days.
