The Neighbourhood Reserves Management Plan has been prepared to assist Tauranga City Council and the community with the management and development of neighbourhood reserves.
The plan provides generic management policies that will apply to every neighbourhood reserve to ensure consistency in management and development across Tauranga and specific information and management policies for each individual neighbourhood reserve.
Neighbourhood reserves are defined as passive space that is primarily provided for use by local communities for casual recreation, play, relaxation, community activity, links to other areas, or quiet open space.
Neighbourhood reserves vary in size, but most are 1000m2 to 5000m2.
The Neighbourhood Reserves Management Plan is a very large document. Using the Table of Contents you can click on the section you wish to view and download that section only.
