Parking fines are issued when drivers fail to pay for their parking, overstay the time limit or park in an unsafe way, like on yellow lines.
Tickets can also be issued for out-of-date or no warrant of fitness and registration.
Please read the summary of rights on the back of the ticket. If you wish to dispute the ticket, you will need to write to council or fill out our online form (below) within the timeframe given in the summary of rights. Please include the infringement number noted on the ticket.

Paying your parking fine
Parking fines can be paid via internet banking, online, post or in person. If you have misplaced your infringement notice, please call us on 07 577 7000.

Pay your parking fine online
Pay at Council’s customer service centre at 91 Willow Street, Tauranga. We accept cash, cheques, credit cards and eftpos.
Parking fines can be paid at your local Post Shop. This also applies to payments on reminder notices, as long as the due date has not expired. Parking fines cannot be paid on the day they are issued because the Post Shop will not have the information until the following working day.

Payment plans can be set up for infringements over $150.00 such as no warrant of fitness, no registration or tyre offences. Some conditions apply, there is only one agreement per customer. Please call us for more information.
