ASB Arena

Officially opened in February 2011, the $41 million ASB Arena provides more than 13,000 square metres of useable space, including a three-court auditorium and a six-court multi-purpose sports and events area.

The arena was made possible through funding from Project Tauranga partners TECT and the Lion Foundation, combined with a rates contribution, sub-regional development contributions and
funding from the Lottery Grants Board. ASB is the major sponsor of this community facility.

BMX Track

Opened in 2011, the BMX track on Cambridge Road was a labour of love for the Tauranga BMX Club, with generous assistance from Project Tauranga partners Powerco, Opus, Tauranga Round Table, TECT, BayTrust, Lion Foundation and Pub Charity.

Birds, Bees, Kids and Trees

Local school children are helping restore Kopurererua Valley to its former pristineglory thanks to Comvita’s environmental education programme, Birds, Bees, Kids and Trees.

Cycle Power

Thousands of tauranga kids are cycling safer thanks to Powerco's generous support of the Kids Can Ride programme.

Gordon Carmichael Reserve

The outdoor classroom learning area at Gordon Carmichael Reserve in Bethlehem was built by City Care Ltd and gifted to Tauranga as part of the company’s contribution to Project Tauranga.

Kopurereua Valley Restoration

The Kopurererua Valley restoration is one of the largest urban wetland regeneration projects in Australasia.
