Parking machine upgrade

During April 2017, the city’s pay and display machines will be upgraded to a paperless system. You will need to enter your licence plate number when you pay for your parking at the new machines.
The machine sends your information Tauranga City Council so you won’t need to display a paper ticket on your dashboard. Enforcement is done via licence plate recognition instead, the same as for Pay My Park.

When you complete your parking transaction you will be asked if you want an eReceipt. If you select “yes” you will be given a code. To get a copy of the receipt:

  3. Enter the e-receipt code and your licence plate number.

The first time you do this, you can choose to register your email address so that all future receipts and transaction details for that plate number will be sent to your email address. (You must select “yes” at the machine when asked if you would like an e-receipt.)
