Using PayMyPark

  • Make sure you enter your car registration accurately.
  • Make sure you enter the correct parking zone or car park. Look for the street signs to confirm which street parking zone or off-street car park you are in. The street parking signs read “Area code Zone 1” and “Area code Zone 2”.

No more pay and display

The app is integrated with Tauranga City Council’s parking system. When our parking officers enter your vehicle’s registration number into their tablet, your paid parking details show up on their screen.

Set up an account or pay as you go

You can pay as you go, or top up your parking balance in advance and save on transaction fees.

Stop-Start Parking

Only pay for the time you park; Start-Stop parking will debit the whole day’s parking from your account, then refund any remaining time as soon as you press the ‘Stop Parking’ button. To set up Start-Stop parking, select the Start-Stop tab when you have entered your chosen parking zone. The default option is Fixed Period parking.

Coupon parking

You can buy monthly concession coupons for some of the off-street car parks. PayMyPark allows you to switch between vehicles once you have set up your account.

Parking buildings

PayMyPark does not apply to parking buildings. Please see our parking building page for more information about the Elizabeth Street and Spring Street parking buildings.
