Be bright 2017 – Pit stop checkpoints

The Travel Safe team will be around in May, assessing gear and lights of cyclists around Tauranga. You will be rewarded if you have adequate lights with cycling gear such as backpack covers, ankle and arm bands, cat eyes.

Young Driver Workshop

Practice your driving skills and gain essential knowledge from qualified and experienced people.

The free workshop includes:

  • Driver instructor lesson
  • Practical discussion on safe and acceptable vehicles with a NZTA Transport Officer
  • Road safety and driving laws discussion with NZ Police

When: To be confirmed
Where: Tauranga Coastguard, Sulphur Point.
Who: This workshop is open to youth who have held a learner licence for more than 6 months OR a restricted licence and are ready to progress to their full licence. Participants will need to have a parent/caregiver/driver mentor attending the workshop with them. As well as a vehicle with a current WoF and registration.
